Pediatric emergency medicine is a developing discipline. Led by a team of Sydney Children’s Hospital specialists, Project Rozana facilitated a high-quality paediatric Emergency Medicine workshop for 22 Palestinian, Israeli and Iraqi-Kurdish pediatricians .
Conceived by Dr Saar Hashavya of Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Workshop was developed in consultation with Dr Matthew O’Meara, Dr Arjun Rao, and nurse educator, Jane Cichero from Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
Hosting 22 pediatricians, the workshop was held at Hadassah Ein Kerem in November 2017 and aimed to provide Palestinian, Israeli and Kurdish medical practitioners with improved skills and knowledge to treat children directly impacted by illness, trauma and tragedy.
